Cupcakes are IN!

Yes, Cupcakes are in! Remember when cakes were in and they start spray painting the pictures. Well now it is all about the cupcake. So I decided to do a cupcake card for my Great Niece Dylan.

Is this adorable or what? I love when I get to use a lot of extras. First of all I used Cricut Sweet Treats cartridge. First time I used it but it will be used often. So I made a card and attached it to a shadow. The holder was a cut out and I ran it through the Sizzix polkadot embosser. I's seen the polkadot used on a lot of things and now I see why. Then a place different buttons in each of the cut outs. Needless to say I am always thrilled when I create from items I have on hand. The the icing on the top, (pun intended) I had pink flock and flocked the icing on the cupcake. I did cut an extra card and cut it to layer the inside of the cover so the glue did not show through from the flock.

Well I was quite pleased with the end result. What do you think? Any ideas on how you can show cupcakes are in I'll be happy to post.

Valentine Sweet Treat

This is an incredible quick gift. I have used this for holiday gifts. Done in red and green with Christmas accents and theme for the Mail Person, Gate Gaurd, Hairdresser, etc. but you can change the color and the theme and it becomes a gift for any holiday. Valentine, St. Patrich, Easter, 4th of July.

I love projects where I can use alot of tools. With this project I used, letterpress, cricut, sizzix, stamp, ink, versa mark. A little bit of everything.

Here are the basics

1. Rossette, Cricut Flower Shoppe Cart. Heart Shaped Petal

2. Letter Press Love Motiff inked with Versa Marker (Debossed)

3. Sizzix Embossing folder for Candy wrapper and card sentiment

4. Sizzix Valentine Card Die

5. Stamping and Ink for the card

I have the specifics if you would like them let me know.

So the question is do you have a special someone who could use a sweet treat?

Corsette Stamp

Here is the story. I love vintage stamps. I was at a stamp expo and I saw a demo of the cutest corset stamp. they stamped in versa and and used an extra fine glitter is was adorable. I ended up not buy it, I'll explain why in a later blog. But the corsette stamp was 11.95. I got home searched the web and found some on line. Well my end searched when I found the vintage jackpot. Oxford Impressions... I got a full sheet of unmounted rubber vintage stamps for 24.95

The set included, 7-dress forms, 3 corsettes, 11 misc. vintage items. Here is a pic. I also ordered a sheet of mounting cling foam for 4 dollars. Here is a pic of the stamps and a sample of a rubber dress form.

Stay tooned I am crafting this weekend and will be posting a few things over the next week or two.
